Updates

As of this moment the post has gained 256 "notes"—a sum of various "likes" and "reblogs". However, this is sort of not enough to shed light to thousands of people who was fooled by that immature poster. I spent time talking the people who believed the issue via their Tumblr Ask and  I'm now glad that they already know the truth.

I really don't want to focus much about this issue; rather, I want to focus on what's currently happening in my life. Seven days left until classes starts again—that also means that I'm going to be a Junior in high school. We haven't bought my school materials yet. Because my father is currently jobless—though we still get money from our little business—grandmother decided to pay our budget for the school materials. Also, I'm absolutely excited to know my new classmates.

I do pray everything will go smoothly. I'm still keeping faith. . . .

Just so they know

When I logged in on Tumblr, I was gobsmacked that this rumour of Mariah Carey and Regine Velasquez has once again emerged from the depths of world wide web because of the immature minds of haters.
My head was filled with rage when I read this. As a fan it somewhat hurts a big part of me as Mariah has always been my saving grace (next to the Lord, of course), and this rumour is definitely fake to be talked about. Such a waste of time. However, to vent what I felt, I just had to say this:
With the help of my friends it was slowly but surely "reblogged" and talked about on Tumblr. As for now, I'm getting more than ten "reblogs" and a few "likes". It might and should increase any time tomorrow.

PS: I had some few amusing mistakes whilst typing. It feels embarrassing listing them down in this post, so you might as well just take care of them. Anywho, I make mistakes, too!

What's up

Unfortunately nothing good has happened today. I just want to share something tonight:
This was fun. This was drew by a local artist in Central Market, Kuala Lumpur, few days before I leave the beloved country in the summer of 2009.
I miss everything that happened in Malaysia. I want to go back but surely I won't be able to bring back the memories we've had together.

The visit

Last night Father reprimanded me for messing up with his precious Sony earphones. Honestly it was not really my fault. When I played a song I suddenly noticed that the right earphone is no longer working. Unsurprisingly, Father was pretty much pissed about what's happened. He even said some rude words about how I handle my things to my mother, as he thought I was already asleep that I was not. I bet those bloody Sony earphones are more important than me, just a guess. . . .

However, my family and I—with the exception of my younger brother, Eric—went to the new opened LDS Cebu Temple somewhere in the city. It was very entertaining and fascinating due to the fact that it is the most holiest place religion-wise. Plus, not to mention its magnificent interior (I would have taken pictures but  naturally it is prohibited).
When we arrived there, we were greeted by the so-called elders (or missionaries, either way) and referred us to the tour guide (which is also a church member). After that, we were led to video room inside a chapel (a block away from the temple) to give us a summary about LDS temples. Thankfully the video took only a few minutes so we were led directly inside the temple.
Nonetheless, I researched some photos of the interior of what the church's temple looks like, though this is the interior of another temple.
This is the Baptismal Font. The font sits on the back of twelve oxen which represent the twelve tribes of Israel. The baptistry is a replica of the "brasen sea sitting on twelve oxen" in the Temple of Solomon, as described in the Old Testament Book of Jeremiah. It is also used to perform baptisms by proxy for deceased relatives who didn't get the chance to hear the restored gospel. Yes, you heard that right, you can baptise your dead ancestors, even though they doesn't even know you.
And this is the Ordinance Room. The room's walls were painted manually by local painters and I bet it cost the church a lot of money (actually it is our money though, and we call it "tithings"). Back to the topic, in these rooms temple patrons attend worship ceremonies about our existence and Jesus Christ's salvation of humankind. These rooms are rich with symbolism. Like what I said before, some rooms are adorned with murals to represent the beginning of the Earth, back to the book of Genesis.
Who would have thought that temples have got a room for the brides? I really never thought! I simply thought temple marriage is just all about signing documents inside a sacred room. But this, this is magnificent! The tour guide said it is built specifically for the bride to dress, do her hair, makeup and groom herself for her sealing. Unfortunately, a bride's best friend could not assist her to attend her needs, since the temple has already prepared for that: temple matrons.
This room is called the Sealing Room. On the contrary to the traditional way of wedding, the bride needs not to walk down the aisle. Only the bride and groom and their family are allowed to get in the room. Whilst holding hands, the couple make covenants with God and each other to be faithful to each other and to God and to keep his commandments. If you had noticed, there are mirrors placed on the walls across each other. It is so that the couple can symbolically see the eternity of their marriage and of themselves.
The grandest room of all: the Celestial Room. If I were to judge, I think this is the best room in every temple, interior-wise. In fact, that hanging gems (I don't know if they're real, though) on the ceiling and the expensive looking flowers, furniture, and everything proves it. However, this is the most holiest place, so you actually cannot have a chitchat in this place. It's located on the top floor, and elevated higher than the other rooms to represent Heavenly Father's Kingdom. Spending time in the Celestial Room with husbands, wives and family members reminds us that as long as we keep our temple covenants, we will all be together as a family in Heavenly Father's Celestial Kingdom. There is no greater joy in the world than spending time in the temple with your family.

Just for the credits, I borrowed all of the photos and few sentences from Moroni10.com. All the photos were taken from various Mormon temples in the world. (Yes, whole wide world!)
I guess that is all. I'm a pretty much dead-tired bloke right now. Good night!

Shortest ever

And then . . .

Grandma has finally payed her debts (positively said) to me, albeit partially, I'm fine with it due to the fact that my wallet has been empty for eight straight weeks.

As for the things I'm going to do by the end of this blooming month, I'm planning to give my blog a make-over after I'm done with all these jazz I've been handling. I think I might change the theme from black and white to white and gold—just something to spice and give things some luck, even though the current layout really suits every melodramatic entries I have posted here. Also, the layout is getting slightly boring so definitely I ought to do this. I might push myself to write a poem too! I haven't wrote one since December. But I'm afraid it won't turn out to give my whole school a buzz unlike the my first one: every student was gobsmacked by the message of that bloody poem, even though I only made it for three consecutive hours. Another thing: I had arranged a deal with Mark—the guy who sold me his original copy of Emotions—and he has said that he's going to send me his Rainbow CD—Mariah's last album before leaving Sony Music—next week, and he did even tell me to pay him some time this June when I get enough money to pay the CD; yeah, so that means it's sort of a free CD at the moment. I'm quite grateful he has had his trust in me, as no one seemed interested to do so before.

It seems the month of June will turn out so well for me. . . . I hope so.

It was not my fault

You may be wondering that I lack one post for yesterday. Forgive me, but it's the internet connection's fault. I would do anything just to post something for this blog, but, hey, there was no to avail. I felt so sad last night, thinking what would happen to my readers (I know there are!), I don't want to keep them waiting.

Though it was a bad day yesterday, it was kind of brightened up because the Emotions CD I ordered via  online last week has arrived. It took time for the post man to deliver it to my location: he even phone me to ask my specific address!

Here is something to cope up with everything:

Untitled

I didn't know being popular could trigger bad things to happen: I was very scared when someone vandalised my name in the school's lavatory. Of course it kind of hit me. I mean, I never wanted to gain attention just because of that poem I submitted to our school magazine. I did it because I wanted to; writing is my passion and hobby. So I felt like reporting it to the authorities. Who would want someone to wish death upon you? It was very creepy, no lie. But then I realised that popularity has its price. Take it or not bad things are still going to happen even if you don't want it to, I tell you. Although sometimes popularity makes you feel a celebrity, you still ought to prepare yourself for issues and gossips and everything else. And always remember that this is high school life. You'll never know how do some people feel about you, positively or not.

A thought

I wish there's something more interesting I can say other than my brain being scrambled and dead. I believe this has been always like this every since . . . well, ever since I was born. Sometimes I have hallucinations of the CD I ordered online being stolen by the post men, or getting lost while they're delivering it to my house. Actually, I paid the seller last week and until this day, bloody Wednesday, I still have no news about it. No, I'm not accusing the seller — I could call him a friend anytime — a scammer, I truly think it's just his work that prevented him to go to the courier centre personally. Besides, all it takes is just a little patience.

I hate seal hunting

Honestly I have nothing interesting to tell you tonight, and I don't want you to feel like a cow chewing the same pieces of news over and over again.

The Canadian government refuses to end the seal slaughter and even uses millions of dollars of taxpayers' money to assist this massacre! Hey, just so you know, seal hunters, the Lord did not put His creatures on this earth for this purpose!

I'm dying, the resort was very fugly

Yes, I'm exaggerating things, but I'm not exaggerating the fact that the resort me and my friends went to was very fugly, awful, dreadful and (insert any negative adjectives here).

I can't write tonight, to be honest, you can see the way I write this entry. My body is currently an agony and inevitably exhausted - let alone the wound on my finger is like being raped like hell.

Some are just not loyal

Since the beginning of the month, we were slowly planning to host an alumni party for my grade school. As all of us we're all excited, we even spread the news via Facebook. Needless to say, everybody agreed about the plan and will surely going to attend the event tomorrow. But unfortunately, some are just untrue to the school and their friends that they even let the chance passed by; yes, I do know this is not going to happen again. Besides, a single person who can't come for the event will surely be thrown slurs and roll eyes from the rest. They should try hard to realise and analyse the importance and rarity of this event, not just giving our invitation a simple no and then just go away.
With all my honesty I really miss them; it's been year since we haven't seen each other. Tell me, how could one forget each other when they've been friend for six straight years?

Books and everything

Today, May 15th, marks the 20th anniversary of the release of Mariah’s very first single, “Vision of Love.” People around the globe first heard the voice that would go on to become one of the biggest-selling female artists in the world. Since then, the little girl who grew up aspiring to be a singer has worn the hats of songwriter, producer, video director, and actress while still continuing to do what she loves best: singing her songs for us, her loyal fans.
She came out with her first and number 1 single Vision of Love, which was released on May 15th, 1990, and her recent number 1 single Touch My Body, released on April 2nd, 2008.

For the things that should be neatly done today, Mother and I are supposed to be meeting up with my Junior friend this afternoon. But later this day she phoned me and pushed it back tomorrow, Sunday. Mother finally decided to buy three hand-me-down textbooks from a former Junior student from my school; she's happy with it because of the fifty percent discount.

Also, my copy of Mariah Carey's CD still hasn't arrived yet. But I worry not, I trust the seller and I found nothing obscure about the business. Perhaps it'll arrive on Monday. Time will say.

An amusing agony

I know you'd laugh if I tell you that my stomach ache was never-ending last night. Believe me, I even slept at three o'clock, couldn't bear the pain until dawn. But when I woke up in the morning it was already gone.

You know, life is boring.

May 17th

I have nothing interesting to share tonight, except for the fact the our grade school reunion date is moved from May 15th to May 17th. Screw some people.

My crack

Okay, I admit that I'm starting to like Tumblr. But I'm not going to deny the fact that it's pretty much pointless because all you ought to do there is just to like and 'reblog' senseless posts (not all, actually). So, with all due respect, I'm still not abandon you, Blogger, you are still going to be my crack, my addiction.

Just this afternoon I finally had the time to go to the bank and deposit four hundred fifty pesos on my friend's account. I bought his copy of Mariah Carey's Emotions album, which was released in 1992. If you'd ask why I bought the superfluous item, it is because it's an apparent investment for a fan like me and it contributes to my CD collection! It's not that actually expensive after all, it's just the shipping fee that made it pricey.

Bloody election

The day was sort of funny yesterday because there was a malfunction when my grandmother inserted her ballot into the PCOS machine. The result was worse than you could imagine, so the voting ended with a disappointed look on her face. Luckily for her, there were perks; it wasn't a complete epic fail after all!
Aquino hasn't got a bad taste after all. He waited in line for seven hours just to vote!

Yehey for leaks

For some reasons two Mariah Carey songs have leaked today. The first one was "Imperfect", which didn’t make the Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel album cut; and "Help Me Make It Through The Night" followed next, a song which was recorded for the indie film Tennessee.
It is very surprising for us fans because we thought Island Def Jam — Mariah Carey's third label, after she was dropped by Virgin Records for $80 million in 2001 — doesn't have plans on promoting Mariah. Honestly we were disappointed ever since Memoirs came out. It was in desperate need of promotion (because IDJ was very busy promoting Rihanna's arse), and mind you, even the album packaging is very cheap!

P.S.

I can't write today.

Mother's Day

A happy Mother’s Day to a mother who’s fighting for better days to come. I love you, Mama!

Celebration of my 50th post, and my comeback on another blogging site

Just few hours ago, I spent time of digging thousands of e-mails and e-mail accounts just to find my account information of Tumblr. Yes, I'm quite jealous of how my friends have been kind of over-rating for months now. On a serious note, they have misunderstood the purpose of Tumblr; take this example, Tumblr was made for blogging — not for typography. Not to sound being cocky, but in my observation it is as it is.

I phoned my best friend last night and this afternoon and planned to have a small get-together in few days' time at their house. I'm sort of happy; it's a reason for me to go out of this house once in a while. And also this afternoon, my grandmother payed me her debts (no offense, but she borrowed my money on my birthday) but only returned back a few hundreds. I'm taking it into consideration as it is Mother's Day tomorrow.

A happy Mother's Day to all the bravest women on earth!

As expected

Before I start, I'm reluctant to make this blog post, but I just ought to do this to get some issues off my chest.
Father, it's about Father again. He's never better these days; today was the worst. Basically his reactions were consisted with loud groans and heavy sighs, interspersed with lessons about proper table manners. Just so you know, the problem was not primarily about us, but about his being jobless and something to do with his blood glucose. I wouldn't be surprised though; he wasn't sympathetic after it and did not even apologise. I just wanted him to be the perfect father to me, but it seems my hope wears out  whenever I see his cold-blooded face. Perhaps he should try to go to church some time, just in case something that he has been waiting forever may happen to him!

Thursday, May 6, 2010

Okay

Little did I know that a little joke could ruin a night. Actually it's really annoying how Father could take a little joke very seriously. That's basically the reason why he and Mother would argue very often; and also why we're not bond to each other. But amidst that, his threat of transferring me to another school was very unflattering. I mean, just because of that little joke? He totally spoiled the night; I feel like I don't want to talk to him tonight. Father needs crucial consideration all the time.
Despite the shit that has been happening, my DVD, which I mention in the previous post,  was returned a while ago. I do feel better about her now.

Oh, really

I spent the whole morning by making a photo invitation for our grade school reunion. They're excited for it. Actually It started with a rumor, but I elaborated it further that it's now confirmed.
Anyway, I took time this evening scolding Eve's classmate. She borrowed my DVD — which was borrowed by Eve as well — and until now she haven't returned it! The attitude, it annoys me. A Major Roll Eyes for that!

Thank you for telling me

Yesterday, Father urged me to sleep in my "own" bedroom; he believed I should do so because I just turned fifteen years old the other day. Honestly I never liked my bedroom at all. Perhaps if they make it attractive — as attractive like my bedroom in Malaysia — I wouldn't hesitate to stay all day long! Anyway, I wasn't able to sleep there last night: I subconsciously fell asleep listening to one of my favourite songs on my player.
That's all I can share for tonight. Good bye!

My new bedroom is bleak

Just something I want to share:

My birthday, what was it like 365 days ago

Honestly I thought of doing this blog tomorrow, since I cannot blame no other else but my Father, who somewhat spoiled the celebration at the restaurant. Thank you, Father, for spoiling the night; I'm glad to know that you have, however, changed your priorities — alcohol and friends. I won't take it back, though; I simply have had enough of everything. So, just recently, I overheard my parents shouting in the bedroom. I wasn't really Mother's fault, it was actually his. He was nonchalant the whole night.

On the topic, I reckon I've told you where I celebrated my 14th birthday: it was in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was the best — perfection by itself. I've gone to places I haven't gone to before. And I enjoyed the delicacies, and everything. Everything.
I miss the airport. I can still remember when I was excited to go back to the Phillipines on the last day of June, but the staff didn't allow us because we're underage. Yes, underage, they're afraid of child trafficking.
Whilst in the cab going to Father's flat, it was the first time I caught a glimpse of the fantatic Petronas Tower. I love how it looks like every night. And it's best to see it when you live in the fourteenth floor of a building — you can see how beautiful Kuala Lumpur is.
The photo above shows the night life of people living in Desa Dua. The building on the upper right of the photo is the apartment wherein I stayed for two months. In the flat I had my own bedroom, and everything I would open the drapes and look out from the window. It's nostalgic
Who wouldn't love spending their birthday at this place? It's Genting Highlands — a theme park. So far it's the most colorful theme park I've ever gone to. Apparently Father spend a lot — when I said 'a lot', that meant he almost spent a large amount of his salary just for my birthday. I'm quite grateful for it though. But unfortunately I didn't enjoy the rides too much — they're too childish for me. But the place which I really enjoyed was the Snow Land. Yes, snow.

To end this post, Malaysia is the very best country I've ever gone to. I want Malaysia to be my motherland. I want to stay there forever. . . .

Just another list

When I was fourteen:
  • I fell in love for the first time;
  • I became a massive Mariah Carey fan, and started collecting her CDs until now;
  • I went to Malaysia and was there for 2 months;
  • I saw what life really is;
  • I learned to love books and writing;
  • I discovered that I was different, though people argue about that;
  • I started this blog;
  • I befriended some celebrities;
  • I started hanging out with friends;
  • I officially confirmed Karrah as my best, best friend.
  • I left Friendster and became active on Twitter and Facebook;
I reckon that list is enough. Two hours left and I'll be 15!
